On Tuesday, Huawei shared a video teaser on the Chinese social platform Weibo, introducing the name of its upcoming triple-fold phone, the Mate XT, which will be launched next week on Sep. 10. The Mate XT will be part of Huawei’s Ultimate Design brand, known for its high-end offerings, according to the video. When fully unfolded, the device is expected to feature a large display of around 10 inches. On the same day, Huawei also shared promotional videos of the Mate XT featuring popular Chinese actress Yang Mi and table tennis star Xu Xin. Additionally, several Chinese phone brands, including Xiaomi, Oppo, and Tecno, are developing their own tri-fold devices, with Tecno having recently showcased a prototype.
