Beauty truly is fleeting.
Apple stans around the world are coming to terms with that fact a mere six monthsafter the release of the Apple Card.
Officially made available to the plebs in August of 2019, the all-white, titanium card was initially presented as a delicate flower that would most certainly look worse for wear if it (heaven forbid) brushed up against other credit cards. But damn, simply using the thingas intended appears to have left the once shiny status symbol looking straight up busted.
This point was driven home by YouTube star Marques Brownlee, who today tweeted a photo of his card showing just how little abuse it could take.

Now, like one of the many Apple apologists in Brownlee's mentions, you may be insisting that the Apple Card was never really intended to be swiped. But, rather, it "was designed as a digital card to live within your Wallet."
And yet, according to Brownlee, he only took it out when Apple Pay wasn't available.

While Brownlee may or may not be a power user, at least one Mashable employee is also starting to see some serious scratches on their "precious."
We reached out to Apple for comment, but received no immediate response. Maybe everyone there is too busy buffing their own cards?

Regardless, we can now all rest easy knowing that even the Apple Card — once hailed as pure as the driven snow — will fall from grace. Oh, wait, we forgot... it already had.
