Blake Shelton has responded to criticism of some of his older, truly horrific tweets that were recently brought to light. In his apology, The Voicejudge attributed his comments to his esteemed comedy skills.
"Everyone knows comedy has been a major part of my career and it's always been out there for anyone to see," tweeted the country singer in a note.

Oh yeah, those are really bad.
Hopefully Shelton's comedy has improved significantly (there's really nowhere to go but up from here). Maybe soon he'll reveal that his entire relationship with Gwen Stefani has been a long running joke.
